Did you ever wish you could copy on one Mac and paste on another Mac ... well, now you can!
ClipCommControl extends Copy/Paste so it works across multiple networked* Macs. Effectively, this enable you to share clipboards among Macs on your network.
Even better yet, KMremoteControl integrates with ClipCommControl to automatically transfer your clipboard when you activate and deactivate remote controlling another Mac OS X system.
And don't worry ... although ClipCommControl needs your system to be connected to a network, we'll take care of the rest:
- you don't need to understand concepts like "servers" and "clients" and "hosts" ... oh my! (in fact, we don't use such terms)
- you don't have to be a "geek" to get it working
(but, of course, fellow "geeks" will also find it easy)
*ClipCommControl relies upon some of OS X's underlying mechanisms. Although these mechanisms support most kinds of objects that are placed on the clipboard by well-behaved applications, not all clipboard contents will be sharable. One notable exception occurs when using the Finder to copy a selected file entry/icon in a Finder window. If that clipboard/copy is pasted into a Finder window on the same system, the file will be copied. However, communicating that same clipboard/copy to another system will only transfer the file's name, not the file, itself. We suggest you use AppleShare to copy files. See the ClipCommControl FAQ for more information.
