Mac KMremoteControl for Mac OS X is
currently at version 1.52 - released 2006-01-25
:

  • Version 1.50 added the following:
    • fixes a problem with bringing the correct application into the foreground when disconnecting from the remote system (due to a change in behavior with one of OS X's interfaces)
    • updates LicenseControl to 2.11 with significantly improved licensing capabilities

PC KMremoteControl for PC/Windows is
currently at version 1.23 - released 2004-Jan-05
:

  • Version 1.23 added the following:
    • helps with a problem where some systems would experience intermittent license failures due to bogus and multiple MAC addresses being reported by that system's APIs
    • fixed a problem where a license could not be installed with some proxy setups

Effective 2006-03-01: PCThe PC/Windows version of KMremoteControl has entered legacy status. The download remains available for existing-customer maintenance.

  • Version 1.10 added the following:
    • Two new options that, when used together, cause the activation/deactivation hotkey to "activate and show" then "deactivate and hide", thus keeping KMremoteControl available but out of the way when it's not activated
    • An option to invoke a workaround necessary for some interfering, third-party, mouse/tablet drivers (e.g., Wacom)
    • improved smoothness of response under conditions of heavy processor load
    • fixed a problem that could cause interruption of remote controlling
    • fixed a problem where being controlled could not be easily disabled

Mac KMremoteControl 1.20 - released 2003-Sep-22:

  • Version 1.20 added the following:
    • ability to maintain a collection of keystroke substitutions that cause a keystroke on the controlling system to be sent as a specified keystroke to the controlled system
    • an option to keep KMremoteControl in front, when remote controlling, to allow full use of application switcher keys
    • an option to support a single-button mouse by sending a right-click instead of a control-click when controlling a PCPC/Windows system
    • significantly reduced launch/startup time

PC KMremoteControl 1.22 - released 2003-Oct-23:

  • Version 1.22 added the following:
    • fixed a problem where some systems would experience intermittent license failures
    • fixed a problem where a license could not be installed with some proxy setups

  • Version 1.30 added the following:
    • various changes required by Panther/Mac OS X 10.3
    • fixed a problem where a screen-size change on the controlled system would not be recognized by the controlling system
    • fixed the "shift arrow-key" select operation when a Mac is controlling a PC
    • fixed a problem where a license could not be installed with some proxy setups

Mac KMremoteControl 1.31 - released 2004-Feb-09:

  • Version 1.31 added the following:
    • significantly improved the performance of the "first run" operations
    • fixed a problem where right-modifier keys were not always recognized

Mac KMremoteControl 1.50 - released 2005-Apr-27:

  • Version 1.50 added the following:
    • edge-detection activation (cursor at edge of screen activates controlling) for Mac-to-Mac-and-back and Mac-to-PC (not back from PC)
    • secure communications support via SSL (Mac-to-Mac)
    • controllable systems locator (for Mac-to-Mac using Bonjour, formerly called Rendezvous)
    • ability to blackout controller's screen or to make on KMremoteControl's windows transparent, while controlling
    • some bug fixes
    • enhanced version of LicenseControl
